An internal combustion engine comprising a spring-loaded engine valve (13) actuatable by means of a cam (2), a tappet (4) and a push rod (10), the cam (2) having a pre-lift ramp (5) for effecting exhaust braking of the engine. A single piston (6) is slidable in the tappet (4) between a bottom stop (8) and a top stop (7) therein and biased by a spring (9) against the top stop (7) and/or the push rod (10). The tappet (4) has an inlet (14) for hydraulic, control fluid to bias the piston (6) towards the top stop (7). There is also a valve (17) preventing escape of hydraulic fluid from the tappet (4) during exhaust braking. During normal operation of the engine when the pre-lift ramp (5) lifts the tappet (4) the valve (17) is held open and hydraulic control fluid flows from the tappet (4) so that the piston (6) contacts the bottom stop (8) and the engine valve (13) remains closed, whereas during exhaust braking of the engine when the pre-lift ramp (5) lifts the tappet (4) the valve (17) is closed and hydraulic control fluid cannot flow from the tappet (4) so that the pistons (6) remains against the stop (7) and the engine valve (13) opened to effect exhaust braking. <IMAGE>

The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in engine braking systems for internal combustion. Engine braking systems for internal combustion engines are known by additionally opening the valve timing valve during a compression stroke, containing a spring-loaded exhaust valve, kinematically connected to a camshaft cam with a yoke, bar and a hydraulic pusher, in the inner cavity of which a spring-loaded piston is placed, moving between the stops, is drilled oil tank and supply oil line with shut-off valve pj. A disadvantage of the known systems is the design complexity, as a result of which the reliability of the systems also decreases. The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design and increase reliability. The goal is achieved by the fact that in the engine braking system of an internal combustion engine by additionally opening the exhaust valve for timing during the compression stroke, which contains a spring-loaded exhaust valve kinematically connected to the camshaft cam using rocker arms, boom and hydraulic pusher, in which the internal cavity is located under the spring-loaded piston, moving between the stops, feeding capacity with oil pump and supplying oil line with shut-off valve, cam provided with an additional protrusion whose height corresponds to the maximum travel of the spring-loaded piston and the hydraulic pusher, and the piston spring is installed in the pusher on the side of the piston opposite to the contact surface of the piston with the push rod. The shut-off valve is a non-return valve with a pneumatic cylinder, the piston rod of which is located in the supply oil line to open the non-return valve during normal operation and for closing when braking. The system additionally contains an assembly pipeline, connected with an ODNSH4 end to the supply oil pipe, and on the other, via an additional pipeline to the oil suction, and an overpass and gas valve are installed in the additional pipeline. Fig. 1 shows a system with a control valve; Fig. 2 is a diagram of a system with another control variant. The system contains a spring-loaded outflow valve 1, kinematically associated with the cam 2 of the camshaft by means of the rocker arm 3, the rod 4 and the hydraulic push rod 5j in the internal cavity 6 of which is placed a spring-loaded piston 7 moving between the stops 8 and 9, the feed tank with the oil pump 10 and supply line 11 with shut-off valve. The spring of the piston 12 is installed in the pusher 5 on the side of the piston 12 opposite to the contact surface of the piston 12 with the rod 4 of the pusher 5. The internal cavity 6 of the pusher 5 is connected through several holes 13 and the annular groove 14 to the supply oil pipe 11. The shut-off valve is designed as a non-return valve consisting of a ball lock body I5 and a spring I6 with a pneumatic cylinder 17, a piston rod 18 of piston 19 of which is located in the supply oil line 1I for opening a check valve in the normal position and for closing it during braking. The check valve is also provided with an outlet oil pipe 20. In the embodiment of the system shown in FIG. 2, it further comprises a collection pipe 21 connected on one side to the supply oil pipe 11, and the other through an additional pipe 22 to the oil pump 10, in the additional pipeline installed bypass 23 and magnetic valves 24. The cam 2 is provided with an additional protrusion 25, the height of which corresponds to the maximum travel of the spring-loaded piston 7 of the hydraulic pusher 5. The system operates in the following first way. During normal operation of the engine, the locking body 15 is held by the rod 18 in the open position. The oil circulates in the forward and reverse direction from the supply oil line to the internal cavity 6 guide
ravlichnogo pusher. When the additional cam protrusion 25 contacts the hydraulic pusher 5, the piston 7 is pressed against the lower stop 9. The relief valve 1 remains closed.
When braking the engine piston
1 is loaded with compressed air, freeing the locking body
15, which is pressed against the seat 16 by the spring 16, thereby stopping the supply of oil.
When the additional protrusion 25 comes into contact with the hydraulic pusher, the piston 7 cannot move, therefore the rod 4 rises and opens the exhaust valve 1 for a certain part of the stroke. The leakage is generated through the supply oil line 11 during the contact of the pusher with the back of the cam 2.
The system according to the second embodiment operates as follows.
Under normal engine operation, the switching valve 24 is in the position shown in Fig. 2. The oil can flow freely, so the pressure in the assembly 21 and additional 22 pipelines is insignificant.
When the additional cam protrusion 25 comes into contact with the hydraulic pusher, the piston 7 is pressed against the lower stop 9. The valve 1 remains closed.
When the switching valve is moved to the second position in the collecting pipeline and in the internal: the pusher cavity 6, pressure is defined by the relief valve and is sufficient to hold the piston 7 at the upper stop 8. The valve, when the additional cam lug comes into contact with the pusher, is opened by the rod and the rocker. Engine braking occurs.
The present invention allows to simplify the design of the engine cooling system and increase the reliability of its operation.

THE BRAKE SYSTEM OF THE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE by additionally opening the exhaust valve during the compression stroke, comprising a spring-loaded exhaust valve kinematically connected to the camshaft cam using the rocker arm. a rod and a hydraulic pusher, in the inner cavity of which a spring-loaded piston is placed, moving between the stops, supplying a container with an oil pump and an oil supply pipe with a shut-off valve, characterized in that, in order to simplify the design and increase reliability, the cam is equipped with an additional protrusion, the height of which corresponds to the maximum stroke of the spring-loaded piston of the hydraulic follower, and the piston spring is installed in the <collider on the side of the piston opposite to the contact surface EDSS the pushrod.
